Find a Study Coach: what to know
Often the problem isn't understanding the subject but knowing how and when to study. A study coach doesn't teach content; they build a realistic weekly plan with your child, work on time management, note-taking, revision and distractions, and follow up in regular sessions. Look at which age groups a coach works with, how they communicate with parents and how often they meet. Sessions can be online or in person.
Frequently asked questions
How is a study coach different from a tutor?
A tutor teaches a subject. A study coach works on the learning process itself: planning, time management and motivation. Some families use both.
How involved will I be as a parent?
It varies by coach; some hold short check-ins with parents. Agree on expectations in the first meeting.
Is it free to contact a coach?
Yes. Coaches set their own fees, payment is between you and the coach, and Aprindo takes no commission.
